Rafah Border Crossing Reopens for Medical Evacuations and Return of Stranded Palestinians

Rafah: The Rafah border crossing in southern Gaza reopened on Tuesday, facilitating the movement of patients and humanitarian cases out of the Gaza Strip and allowing the return of individuals stranded on the Egyptian side.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the seventh batch of humanitarian cases and patients departed for the Rafah crossing after being processed at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society headquarters in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Representatives from the World Health Organization were present during this process. The individuals are now en route to receive medical treatment in hospitals outside the Gaza Strip.

The report also highlighted the arrival of the seventh batch of individuals stranded in Egypt at the Egyptian side of the crossing before entering Gaza. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed that it facilitated the departure of 50 travelers through the Rafah crossing.
