Qatar Decries Israeli Minister’s Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Doha: Qatar condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem by extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, accompanied by officials and colonists, and called on the international community to take "urgent and effective action to compel the occupation to comply with international legitimacy resolutions."

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Qatari Foreign Ministry issued a statement labeling the storming as a "repeated Israeli attempt to undermine the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque." The ministry emphasized that this act is "a provocation to more than two billion Muslims around the world."

The statement further warned that "the escalating policy adopted by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the ongoing brutal war of extermination in Gaza, will lead to an expansion of violence and chaos in the region and undermine efforts to implement the two-state solution and achieve comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace."
