Texas: Activists in Houston, Texas, launched a new campaign called the 'Houston Arms Embargo Campaign,' coinciding with the Houston International Maritime Conference, demanding a halt to any military shipments or combat equipment passing through the Port of Houston en route to Israel. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the organizers base their call on the responsibility of the US logistics infrastructure for facilitating arms transfers, emphasizing that the Port of Houston has become a key hub for military-related maritime shipping. The activists assert that stopping the passage of these deadly shipments through this port constitutes a practical step to end US support for Israel and also opens the door to a new discussion about the ethics of the US maritime industry and the legal responsibility of shipping companies under international law.
