Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday evening received members of the preparatory committee for the eighth conference of the Fatah movement at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah. The President was briefed on the ongoing preparations for the conference, emphasizing the importance of completing all arrangements to ensure it takes place on its scheduled date of May 14, 2026.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, President Abbas highlighted the necessity of adhering to the movement's internal regulations, approved standards, and membership conditions. It was agreed during the meeting that the preparatory committee will submit all files related to the conference to President Abbas by next Thursday for final approval.
