Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday received the credentials of Archbishop Giorgio Lingua as Apostolic Delegate in Jerusalem and representative of the Holy See's mission to the State of Palestine. The ceremony was held at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the event was attended by several key figures, including the President's Diplomatic Affairs Adviser Majdi Al-Khalidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian, and Commander of the Presidential Guard Maj. Gen. Mohammed Daajna. During the ceremony, Archbishop Lingua had the opportunity to review the guard of honor that had been assembled for his welcome.
