President Abbas Receives Credentials of Portuguese Representative to Palestine

Ramallah: President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Tuesday the credentials of the new Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Portugal to the State of Palestine, Jos© Eduardo Guedes de Sousa. The formal ceremony marked an important step in the diplomatic relations between the two entities.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the credentials ceremony was attended by the President's Diplomatic Advisor, Majdi al-Khalidi, and the Commander of the Presidential Guard, Major General Muhammad Dajaneh. The presence of these key figures underscores the significance of the event in strengthening diplomatic ties.

Following the official presentation of credentials, the newly appointed ambassador inspected the guard of honor, which lined up to salute him. This traditional gesture is a symbol of respect and recognition, further emphasizing the importance of the occasion in the context of international diplomacy.
