Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas inaugurated on Wednesday the 10th National "Creativity from Homeland to the World - Towards a Cross-Border Creativity System" Forum, organized by the Higher Council for Creativity and Excellence.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the President highlighted that creativity and excellence are intrinsic to the Palestinian people, tracing their origins back to the Palestinian Revolution in 1965. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the Excellence and Creativity Project, led by Adnan Samara, since 1970 in showcasing Palestinian capabilities.
The forum has been instrumental in fostering numerous pioneering inventions and initiatives, despite the challenging circumstances and repeated displacements faced by the Palestinian people. The spirit of innovation has continued to thrive among Palestinians, underscoring their resilience and ingenuity.
President Abbas reiterated his support for this initiative, emphasizing the importance of nurturing a culture of excellence and creativity within Palestinian society. He praised the young Palestinian talents for their intelligence and cultural prowess, noting their significant contributions and promising potential in various fields.
Furthermore, the President stressed that creativity and excellence are vital attributes of advanced nations. He urged the integration of Palestinian ideas and inventions into practical applications by governmental bodies and companies to benefit society.
During the event, President Abbas visited the National Creativity Exhibition, which featured over 127 pavilions. These represented Palestinian universities, startups, youth initiatives, student projects, and institutions dedicated to promoting excellence and creativity.
