President Abbas Highlights Significance of Fatah Youth Conference as a Beacon of Hope

Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas stated today that the Fatah Youth Conference in the northern governorates is a crucial national event that renews hope for the future, emphasizing the Fatah movement's dedication to democratic principles and national unity.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, President Abbas addressed the General Conference of Fatah Youth in the northern governorates, themed 'From Jerusalem to Gaza. steadfast on our land, faithful to our pledge,' at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah. He highlighted that the Palestinian cause is at a critical juncture, beset by significant challenges.

The President pointed out ongoing acts of aggression and crimes by the occupation, which target Jerusalem, its inhabitants, and its sacred sites, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque, along with the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron. The Palestinian people in the West Bank face attacks, and Gaza remains under siege, suffering near-total destruction.

President Abbas paid homage to those who have been killed, wounded, or detained, asserting that the State of Palestine will ultimately emerge as a free, independent, and fully sovereign entity, despite the increasing challenges.

He stressed the conference's role in continuing the long-standing national struggle spearheaded by the Fatah movement since its inception, noting that Palestinian youth have consistently been at the forefront-from the Stone Intifada to confronting the occupation in every arena. He emphasized that victory is achieved through the youth, their belief in their just cause, and their unwavering determination.

The President underscored the objective of fostering a generation of Palestinians imbued with national consciousness, aware of their national identity, and equipped with knowledge and experience. He highlighted the importance of rectifying mistakes and speaking out against them.
