President Abbas Congratulates Saudi Leadership on Founding Day

Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine extended congratulations on Saturday to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the occasion of Saudi Founding Day.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in his cable, President Abbas conveyed his warm fraternal greetings to King Salman, as well as to the Saudi government and people. He wished King Salman good health, happiness, and a long life, and expressed hopes for continued prosperity and progress for Saudi Arabia and the further development of strong fraternal ties between the two countries.

He reiterated his deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia's supportive stance toward the Palestinian people, commending its ongoing humanitarian assistance, efforts to consolidate a ceasefire, financial support to strengthen Palestinian resilience, and what he described as historic success in securing recognition by important countries of the independent Palestinian state.

President Abbas also sent a similar cable of congratulations to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on the same occasion. He expressed his wishes for continued health and prosperity for the Saudi leadership, government, and people, and reaffirmed appreciation for the Kingdom's supportive positions and humanitarian role.
