President Abbas Begins Official Visit to Paris for High-Level Meetings

Paris: President Mahmoud Abbas arrived on Monday evening in Paris for an official visit. Upon his arrival, President Abbas reviewed the guard of honor while the national anthems of Palestine and France were played. He was welcomed by France's Minister of the Interior, Laurent Nu±ez.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, President Abbas is scheduled to meet with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, on Tuesday at the Palace. In addition, he will hold talks with the President of the French National Assembly, Ya«l Braun-Pivet. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to coordinate positions between the Palestinian and French leaderships.

President Abbas is accompanied by several key figures, including PLO Executive Committee member Ziad Abu Amr, Presidential Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khaldi, and the Palestinian ambassador to Paris, Hala Abu Hasira. The visit coincides with France's recognition of the State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on Monday.
