Doha: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with King Abdullah II of Jordan on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit to address the recent Israeli attack on the State of Qatar.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the meeting focused on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression and the resulting humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. The discussions highlighted the escalating violations by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank, including the tensions in occupied Jerusalem.
In addition to addressing the immediate regional concerns, President Abbas and King Abdullah II explored avenues to bolster the bilateral relations between Palestine and Jordan. They emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in various sectors to strengthen the ties between the two nations.
