Manama: A phone call took place today between President Mahmoud Abbas and the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, during which they exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, King Hamad expressed his wishes for the occasion, hoping that the Almighty would return this holiday with the realization of the Palestinian people's aspirations for freedom and independence. He reaffirmed Bahrain's position on the Palestinian cause and its support for the Palestinian people.
In turn, President Mahmoud Abbas extended his Eid greetings to King Hamad, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity. He also expressed his gratitude to King Hamad for his ongoing support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
