Ramallah: The Palestinian Presidency has expressed approval of US President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the conflicting parties in the region, acknowledging the efforts made to de-escalate the ongoing tensions. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Presidency emphasized that reaching a ceasefire is a crucial step towards achieving security and stability through diplomatic means and resolving conflicts in line with international legitimacy and international law. The Presidency further urged that this move be extended to include the Gaza Strip, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the people, stop the violence, and address humanitarian issues. It reiterated that resolving the Palestinian issue according to international legitimacy is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
