Presidency Warns of Consequences of Ongoing Israeli War Against Palestinian People

Ramallah: The Palestinian presidency has issued a warning about the consequences of the ongoing conflict against the Palestinian people by the Israeli occupation authorities. The conflict has entered its second phase with an assault on the West Bank's Tulkarem Governorate, resulting in the deaths of two Palestinian citizens and the systematic destruction of infrastructure and civilian properties.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the presidency highlighted that this aggression coincides with the continued Israeli onslaught on Jenin. This has led to the deaths of 17 citizens, injuries to 39 others, and the detention of 28 more. Additionally, there has been destruction and burning of dozens of citizens' homes and widespread damage to infrastructure.

The presidency has placed responsibility on the Israeli occupation authorities for the deteriorating situation in the cities, villages, and refugee camps of the West Bank. It emphasized that these attacks on the Palestinian people, land, and sanctities would not bring security or stability to anyone. Instead, they contribute to further escalation and violence.

The presidency has called on the new U.S. administration to intervene and halt Israeli actions, warning that such recklessness perpetuates instability and insecurity and undermines regional security. The presidency stressed that these actions do not resolve the region's problems, and that achieving sustainable peace is necessary to halt conflicts and prevent future strife.
