Lisbon: Portugal will officially recognize the State of Palestine on Sunday, as revealed by the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This recognition is set to occur just before the UN General Assembly meeting, where around 10 other countries are also expected to take similar actions. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Ministry confirmed this decision in a statement released on its website. The announcement specified that "Portugal will recognize the State of Palestine, and the official recognition will be announced on Sunday, September 21." This move marks a significant development in Portugal's foreign policy ahead of international discussions at the UN.
