New york: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa welcomed the speech delivered by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy during the plenary session of the High-Level UN International Conference on the peaceful settlement of the Question of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution, held at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York. In his address, Lammy affirmed that the United Kingdom bears a special responsibility regarding the two-state solution, described the aid mechanism in Gaza as a slap in the face to the United Nations, and stressed that decisions on Palestine cannot remain "ink on paper."
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Lammy also reiterated his country's intention to recognize the State of Palestine in September.
