Munich: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met with Iceland's Prime Minister, Kristrºn Frostad³ttir, on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference today, Saturday. The meeting was attended by Icelandic Foreign Minister Thorgerdur Katrn Gunnarsd³ttir and Palestine's Ambassador to Germany, Laith Arafa.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Prime Minister Mustafa provided an update on the latest developments in Palestine. He detailed the Palestinian Government's initiatives aimed at enhancing humanitarian relief, early recovery, and emergency response efforts in Gaza. These initiatives are geared towards addressing immediate needs while setting the foundation for comprehensive reconstruction efforts in the future.
Prime Minister Mustafa also conveyed concerns regarding the ongoing Israeli attacks and violations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. He cited continued military incursions into various regions, highlighting issues such as infrastructure destruction, demolitions, killings, detentions, and forced displacements carried out by Israeli occupation forces.
The discussions between the two leaders further explored opportunities for strengthening joint cooperation between Palestine and Iceland in multiple sectors.
