PM Mustafa Discusses Palestinian Developments with German Foreign Minister

Ramallah: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa received a phone call today from German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, during which they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and bilateral relations across multiple fields.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during the call, Prime Minister Mustafa briefed Foreign Minister Wadephul on the significant escalation in settler violence in the West Bank and Jerusalem. He highlighted the tragic humanitarian conditions faced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip due to ongoing Israeli occupation aggression and stressed the necessity of adhering to international law.

Prime Minister Mustafa also emphasized the urgent need to implement the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan based on UN Security Council Resolution (2803). This implementation aims to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians, expedite reconstruction efforts, and support the unification of Palestinian institutions in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Germany's stance against Israeli policies aimed at annexing the West Bank and opposing settlement expansion in the "E1" area. He noted that this position, previously announced by the German Chancellor and reaffirmed by the Foreign Minister during the call, condemns settler violence. Additionally, Mustafa highlighted the necessity for Israel to release the Palestinian clearance revenues it is currently withholding.
