RAMALLAH: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mohammad Mustafa, discussed during a telephone call with the Egyptian Foreign Minister the ongoing Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the violent actions of the Israeli army and colonists in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.
During a telephone call with the Egyptian foreign minister, Badr Abdelatty, Mustafa emphasized the need to intensify efforts to halt the war waged by Israel on Gaza and press for the opening of all land crossings and increased aid, particularly to northern Gaza, where civilians face intensified aggression and forced displacement.
Mustafa further briefed the Egyptian minister on the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, including the daily incursions into cities, villages and camps, in addition to the killings, detentions, land confiscation for colonial expansion, and the legitimization of more colonial outposts.
For his part, Abdelatty condemned the Israeli a
ggression in Gaza, highlighting the obstacles the Israeli army imposes on the entry of humanitarian aid and the occupation’s control over the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing.
He also denounced the targeting of UN personnel and the challenges facing humanitarian organizations.
Additionally, he condemned the Israeli attacks in the West Bank cities and refugee camps and the attempts to legitimize and expand illegal colonies, in contravention of international law and Security Council resolutions.
He also urged the international community to support UNRWA’s activities for Palestinian refugees.
