People Fainting in Gaza’s Streets as Starvation Prevails – UNRWA Warns

Ramallah: The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA)warned that starvation is increasingly prevalent in the Gaza Strip, with people fainting in the streets from hunger. The agency warns that the current aid distribution system has humiliated and dehumanized hungry, frightened, wounded, and exhausted families.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, UNRWA emphasized that no person should be forced to choose between risking their life and feeding their family. During the ceasefire period, the UN, including UNRWA, demonstrated it could deliver life-saving aid safely and at scale across Gaza.

UNRWA pleaded for the lifting of the siege, stating: 'We have the systems, the expertise, and the will. What we need is access. Lift the siege. Let us do our job.'
