Ramallah: The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) has issued a report on Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI), and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank during May 2025.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 121.29, marking a decrease of 0.15% from April 2025. The report highlights a 0.27% decline in raw material prices, while equipment rental costs saw a slight rise of 0.14%. Labour costs and wages remained unchanged over the month.
The CCI for non-residential buildings showed a similar trend, reaching 120.15 with a 0.17% decrease. Raw material prices dropped by 0.29%, and equipment rental prices edged up by 0.09%, with no change in labour costs.
For skeleton buildings, the CCI was recorded at 119.03, experiencing a 0.44% reduction. This category noted a 0.71% fall in raw material prices, coupled with a 0.14% increase in equipment rental costs, while labour costs stayed stable.
The Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank stood at 115.26, decreasing by 0.41%. The decline was driven by a 1.70% drop in equipment operating and maintenance costs, a 0.59% decrease in raw material prices, and a marginal 0.02% dip in equipment rental costs, with stable labour costs.
The Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 133.09, down by 0.29%. The Water Reservoirs Cost Index and Water Networks Cost Index saw decreases of 0.72% and 0.12%, respectively.
The Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) registered at 118.55, with a slight decline of 0.07% over the month.
