Post: Palestinian Youth Injured by Bullet Fragments from Colonists’ Gunfire Near Bethlehem

Bethlehem: A young Palestinian man was injured on Monday by bullet fragments from colonists' gunfire during an attack on Palestinian homes in the village of al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem, according to a local official.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Head of Al-Minya Village Council Ahmad Kawazbeh reported that colonists attacked homes near al-Minya roundabout belonging to Palestinian residents from the Jabareen and Faroukh families. During the attack, they opened live fire, injuring Muhammad Abdul Aziz Jabareen in the foot with bullet fragments.

Kawazbeh added that colonist attacks against al-Minya residents have escalated in recent weeks. He noted that colonists destroyed an irrigation water network several days ago and closed a road near al-Minya roundabout, which leads to homes belonging to the Jabareen family.

The head of al-Minya Village Council has called on governmental and civil institutions, as well as the international community, to intervene. He emphasized the need to strengthen the steadfastness of residents and halt attacks aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians and seizing land for colonial expansion.
