Tulkarm: A Palestinian citizen was injured by Israeli gunfire on Sunday afternoon in the Tulkarm refugee camp, as the ongoing Israeli assault entered its seventh consecutive day.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the man was shot in both feet and was subsequently transferred to Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in the city for treatment.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to impose a strict siege on the Tulkarm camp, deploying large numbers of infantry troops throughout its neighborhoods and alleyways. Troops have been conducting raids on homes, searching them, and forcibly evicting residents.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that the Israeli military is carrying out a large-scale campaign of displacement within the camp, affecting areas such as the al-Ghanem neighborhood, schools, clubs, and other public facilities. Many residents have been forced to take the road leading to the northern entrance of the camp, ultimately fleeing to the city.
Israeli forces have been seizing homes and high-rise buildings within and around the camp, turning them into military outposts. Snipers are stationed inside these buildings and frequently fire on residents.
