Palestinian Rescue Crews Retrieve Body of Slain Youth in Jenin Camp

Jenin: Palestinian rescue crews Tuesday evening retrieved the body of a slain youth in Jenin refugee camp, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The body of the young man, who was reportedly gunned down by Israeli occupation forces, was found in the ad-Damj neighborhood of the camp. In addition to the deceased, rescue teams also transported another individual to a hospital who sustained injuries from live ammunition fired by the Israeli army.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident has increased the total number of Palestinians killed by the occupation forces to nine, with an additional 40 sustaining injuries since Israel launched a substantial raid on Jenin city and camp earlier in the day. This raid is part of a broader strategy by the Israeli occupation forces, who have intensified military measures across the occupied West Bank. These measures were implemented just hours after 90 Palestinian prisoners were released under the terms of a Gaza ceasefire, which has led to the fragmentation of Palestinian cities and governorates by way of military gates, barriers, and concrete blocks.

The escalation in military actions coincides with continuous attacks by Israeli settlers across the West Bank. These attacks aim to intimidate Palestinians and force them off their land, facilitating the construction of illegal Jewish settlements that disrupt and divide Palestinian communities.
