Palestinian Regions Brace for Unusually Hot Weather Conditions

Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a spell of hot to very hot weather across most areas, with temperatures predicted to soar approximately 4°C above the annual average. Winds are expected to be southwesterly to northwesterly, ranging from light to moderate, and sea waves will maintain light to moderate conditions. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PMD anticipates that Thursday's evening and night hours will bring generally clear and pleasant conditions. The winds during this period are forecasted to be westerly to northwesterly, continuing at a light to moderate pace, with sea waves remaining consistent. As the week progresses into Friday, the weather pattern is expected to remain hot to very hot, with temperatures persisting at about 4°C above the annual average. Wind and sea conditions will remain unchanged, with light to moderate westerly to northwesterly winds and light to moderate sea waves. Looking ahead to the weekend, a slight drop in temperature is anticipated on Saturday, although it will still be about 3°C above the annual average. By Sunday, temperatures are expected to drop further to align with the annual average, bringing generally clear weather. Winds will shift to southwesterly to northwesterly, with speeds occasionally becoming active, while sea waves will continue to be light to moderate. The PMD has issued a warning to the public, advising against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during the peak hours of 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and cautions against starting fires in areas where dry grass is plentiful.
