Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted very hot weather conditions for the coming days, with temperatures expected to rise significantly above their annual average. The PMD has issued advisories for residents to take necessary precautions as temperatures are predicted to soar approximately 3°C to 4°C higher than usual.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the weather on Tuesday will be particularly hot in most areas, with a slight increase in temperatures. The winds are expected to be southwesterly to northwesterly, ranging from light to moderate, while sea waves will remain light to moderate. Despite the sweltering daytime conditions, the evening and night hours are expected to bring generally clear and pleasant weather.

The report further indicates that Thursday will continue to experience hot to very hot conditions, with temperatures rising to about 4°C above the annual average. Winds will shift slightly to a westerly to northwesterly direction, rem
aining light to moderate, and sea waves are anticipated to stay light to moderate.

As the week progresses to Friday, the PMD notes that there will be no significant change in the weather conditions. The heat will persist, maintaining temperatures around 4°C above normal. Similar wind patterns and sea conditions are expected to prevail.

The PMD has highlighted that no changes in weather and temperature are anticipated on Saturday. In light of the extreme weather conditions, the department advises the public to limit exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak hours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additionally, residents are cautioned against starting fires in areas with abundant dry grass, as the risk of fire hazards is heightened under these hot and dry conditions.
