Palestinian Government Strongly Condemns Israeli’s Onslaught on Jenin City and Its Camp

Ramallah: The Palestinian government has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as aggressive measures by Israel against the Palestinian people. The most recent incident involved a significant Israeli military operation in the city of Jenin and its associated camp, resulting in the deaths of eight Palestinians and injuries to 35 others.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the government also condemned the forced displacement of families from the camp. It criticized the installation of new barriers and iron gates by Israeli forces, which serve to further isolate Palestinian villages and cities, giving free rein to colonists to terrorize these communities.

In response to the escalating situation, the Palestinian Council of Ministers has directed the Ministerial Committee for Emergency Actions to intensify its efforts in the areas most affected by the attacks from the Israeli army and colonists. The objective is to implement immediate measures that will strengthen the resolve and resilience of the Palestinian people in their homeland.

Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, addressing the weekly cabinet session, emphasized that Palestinian embassies and international missions have been instructed to engage with representatives from various countries. The focus of these diplomatic efforts is to urge immediate action and exert pressure to halt the attacks by settlers and the continuation of illegal occupation practices.
