Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has issued a strong condemnation of Israel, accusing the occupying power of consistently violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry highlighted ongoing aggression and alleged massacres against Palestinian civilians in the area.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Ministry's statement criticized the Israeli occupation for failing to adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, which stems from the US President's peace plan. It accused Israel of reneging on its obligations and undermining efforts by mediators, which the Ministry claims demonstrates a lack of political will to end the conflict. The statement further alleged that Israel is completing a plan of genocide and displacement against Palestinians in Gaza.
The Ministry also accused Israel of targeting civilians and essential infrastructure, ignoring the ceasefire as a binding commitment. Instead, it claimed that Israel views the agreement as a tool to manage aggression and reshape the situation to benefit its current government's objectives. These objectives supposedly include prolonging the conflict, completing genocide, and implementing forced displacement plans.
In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the US administration, mediating states, and the international community to take effective measures. It urged these entities to compel Israel to respect the ceasefire, protect Palestinian civilians, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The Ministry emphasized the need for a comprehensive cessation of hostilities, withdrawal of occupation forces, and the establishment of an independent State of Palestine within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
