Gaza: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today condemned the attacks by Israeli colonists against Palestinian citizens and international activists during the annual olive harvest season in the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the ministry stated that the violent actions of armed colonist groups occur under the protection and coordination of the Israeli occupation army. These actions are part of a systematic policy aimed at targeting Palestinians, preventing farmers from accessing their lands, assaulting them, burning vehicles, and stealing olive crops.
The ministry also condemned Israel's detention of 32 international activists who participated in a campaign to support local farmers and document colonist crimes. It highlighted that these practices reflect ongoing attempts to obscure the extent of violations and crimes committed as part of a comprehensive policy to erase Palestinian life in the occupied territories.
The ministry emphasized that the efforts by occupation authorities and their tools, including colonist terrorism, to forcibly displace the Palestinian people through violence, killing, uprooting trees, and burning crops must not go unpunished. These actions, it stated, violate international law and threaten the principles of justice and fundamental human rights.
The Foreign Ministry urged all states and the international community to take immediate action to end these practices, protect Palestinian civilians, and ensure their right to live in security and dignity on their land.
