Accra:Khaled Quzmar, executive director of the Palestinian Center for Child Rights, has expressed concern over the worsening conditions faced by Palestinian children in Israeli occupation prisons. Reports have surfaced detailing instances of torture, starvation, and medical neglect, while human rights organizations encounter challenges in accessing these prisons to evaluate the children's conditions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Quzmar highlighted that over 2,000 children have been detained by Israeli forces since the beginning of what he described as a genocidal war, with at least 350 still in custody.
He also pointed out the increasing danger posed by Israeli colonists and occupation forces, especially during the olive harvest season. Palestinian children are particularly vulnerable as they are often prevented from accessing their lands and subjected to threats and violence during this time.
