New york: Pro-Palestinian sit-ins have been ongoing outside the United Nations headquarters in New York since the UN General Assembly kicked off its 80th session a few days ago. Demonstrators gathered at the intersection of 46th Street and 2nd Avenue, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans calling for an end to the war being waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and support for Palestinian rights. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, protesters emphasized the importance of applying public pressure on the international community to take a firm stance on the situation. These demonstrations form part of ongoing public actions in New York coinciding with the attendance of international delegations at the General Assembly, aiming to push for changes in U.S. and international policies to end the Israeli aggression on Gaza immediately.
