Oman Expresses Concern Over US-Israeli Strikes on Iran Amid Advancing Diplomatic Efforts

Muscat: The US-Israeli attacks on Iran occurred as diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a fair solution 'were making progress,' the Omani foreign minister stated on Sunday. Badr Albusaidi addressed an extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Arab League, which was conducted virtually to deliberate on regional developments amid the ongoing conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Albusaidi highlighted that the region is facing 'a dangerous turning point' as military operations intensify. He emphasized that the attacks on Iran came at a crucial moment when diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving 'a fair and honorable solution' were advancing.

Albusaidi expressed concern that continued hostilities would have 'serious consequences' for regional security and stability. He also noted potential impacts on maritime navigation, supply chains, and the global economy, urging for a reduction in military actions to safeguard these critical areas.
