Post: OIC Condemns Opening of Somaliland Embassy in Jerusalem

Jerusalem: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the opening of an embassy by the so-called "Somaliland" in occupied Jerusalem, asserting that this action is illegal and violates the Charter of the United Nations and its relevant resolutions.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the General Secretariat emphasized that Israel, as the occupying power, does not possess sovereignty over Occupied Jerusalem. It stated that any decisions or measures aimed at changing the city's political, legal, or demographic status are considered null and void under international law.

The General Secretariat reiterated its full solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia, expressing unwavering support for its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also called on the international community to take a firm stance against this illegal move and work to counter it.
