Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the statements by officials in the Israeli occupation government that advocate for annexing and imposing Israeli "sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank. The OIC considers these statements a violation of international resolutions and laws, undermining efforts toward a two-state solution.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the OIC expressed concern over the potential dangers of such statements and the ongoing incitement by Israeli leaders and settlers against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities.
The OIC reiterated its call for the international community to recognize the State of Palestine and endorse its full membership at the United Nations. It urged international measures to end the occupation and illegal settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.
