OIC Broadcasting Union Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Rights on Land Day

Jeddah: The Union of Broadcasting and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation marked the 50th anniversary of Land Day by reaffirming its full support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its solidarity with their just cause.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a statement issued on Sunday ahead of the commemoration of Land Day on March 30, the union stressed the role of responsible media in conveying the truth, raising awareness, and promoting the values of justice and fairness.

The union highlighted that Land Day holds deep significance in the Palestinian collective consciousness, representing an organized popular stance and reflecting unity in defending land and identity in the face of settler aggression.

The statement added that the occasion demonstrates that adherence to rights is not a choice but a path that cannot be abandoned, emphasizing that land remains at the core of Palestinian national existence and a unifying cause for Palestinians wherever they may be.

The union affirmed that Land Day will remain a renewed pledge upheld by generations until Jerusalem is free and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are fully restored.
