OCHA Reports Surge in Israeli Colonist Violence in West Bank

Ramallah: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported a significant rise in Israeli colonist violence across the occupied West Bank. The agency documented 13 recent attacks that resulted in injuries to four Palestinians, the displacement of two families, and considerable damage to property and farmland.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, OCHA indicated that the increase in colonist violence is occurring alongside the expansion of Israeli settlements and the creation of new outposts. Over the past three weeks, the organization has recorded five incidents involving the abduction or detention of Palestinians by Israeli colonists in the provinces of Nablus, Ramallah, and Hebron.

One particularly concerning incident took place in Beit Furik, east of Nablus, where colonists armed with knives and stones pursued local children. In this case, two siblings-a 13-year-old girl and her 3-year-old brother-were abducted and later discovered tied to a tree within the town.
