Battir: Israeli occupation forces uprooted on Wednesday dozens of olive saplings and demolished retaining walls in the town of Battir, west of Bethlehem. The incursion, involving bulldozers, targeted the al-Khamar area southeast of the town, resulting in the razing of four dunums of land.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Ghassan Elyyan, an anti-colonial and wall activist, reported that the Israeli forces were responsible for the destruction. The actions included uprooting dozens of olive saplings and demolishing retaining walls, contributing to the ongoing tensions in the region.
The Al-Khamar area continues to face colonial attacks by colonists, which include the confiscation of large areas of land and the establishment of colonial outposts. These actions have been a source of conflict and displacement for the local communities in Battir and surrounding areas.
