Jenin: Israeli occupation forces (IOF) installed an iron gate at the southern entrance to the village of Zabda, west of Jenin.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Saleh Amarneh, head of the village council, reported that the IOF erected the iron gate at the entrance located midway between the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates. The entrance is a crucial connection point for the villages of Zabda, Al-Khaljan, Dahr al-Abd, Khirbet Masoud, and Qaffin, extending all the way to Tulkarm.
Amarneh emphasized that the installation of the gate will have an impact on approximately 7,000 residents from these towns and villages. The installation is part of a broader trend, bringing the total number of military gates installed since October 7, 2023, to 243. This also includes modifications to the layout of some military checkpoints in the West Bank.
