Hebron: Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on the southern area of the city of Hebron on Monday evening, according to a local official. Head of Birin Village Council, southeast of Hebron, Farid Barqan, stated that Israeli forces have been imposing a comprehensive closure since dawn on several neighborhoods in the southern area of the city.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Barqan reported that Israeli forces installed an iron gate at Al-Mukhtar Roundabout and another at the entrance to Sarsouriya. They carried out a series of home raids and searches, during which several citizens were detained and subjected to severe assault.
Israeli forces also sealed off several entrances connecting neighborhoods of the southern area with concrete blocks, earth mounds, and citizens' vehicles. They took over the rooftops of several homes, turning them into military outposts.
Meanwhile, the Hebron Directorate of Education decided to postpone Tuesday's school day to next Thursday in 18 schools in the southern area of the city due to the occupation's aggression.
