Occupation Forces and Colonists Launch 340 Attacks on Olive Harvesters in October

Ramallah: The head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Mu'ayyad Sha'ban, reported that the Israeli occupation army and colonists have conducted a total of 340 attacks against olive harvesters since the start of the season in the first week of October.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Commission released a statement on Thursday highlighting that 62 of these attacks were carried out by the occupation army, while colonists were responsible for 278. These incidents included violent physical assaults, arrests, movement restrictions, denial of access, intimidation, and harassment. There were also reports of direct gunfire, particularly in the Tubas Governorate.

Sha'ban further detailed that the highest number of attacks occurred in the Ramallah Governorate with 107 incidents, followed by the Nablus Governorate with 94, and the Hebron Governorate with 38. The current olive harvest season has witnessed 92 documented cases of movement restrictions and intimidation against harvesters, alongside 59 reported instances of physical violence against farmers.
