Post: Occupation Authorities Order Demolition of Seven Apartments Near Jerusalem

Qalandya: Israeli occupation authorities ordered on Wednesday morning the demolition of seven apartments in the Qalandya village, north of the occupied West Bank village of Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem Governorate. The occupation forces reportedly stormed the village and issued military notices to the owners of the apartments, instructing them to self-demolish their structures due to purported licensing issues.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the authorities have set a deadline for the demolition, which coincides with the end of the Eid Al-Adha holiday on Saturday, May 30. The apartment owners have been warned that failure to comply with the order will result in the occupation authorities executing the demolition on the following Sunday. In such a case, the owners would also face substantial financial penalties and be responsible for the demolition costs.
