Jerusalem: Israeli occupation authorities forced a Jerusalemite citizen on Saturday to demolish his home in the East Jerusalem town of Silwan.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation authorities compelled Jerusalemite citizen Mujahid Imad Badran to undertake the self-demolition of his home in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan. This action was carried out under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Jerusalem Governorate noted that the 75-square-meter house, constructed in 2019, was home to Badran, his wife, and their three children: Mirnas, Imad, and Ward. Furthermore, the governorate highlighted that the occupation authorities imposed fines and financial penalties on the family amounting to approximately 75,000 shekels, which the family is still in the process of paying off.
