OSLO: Norway condemned the massacre committed by the Israeli army on Tuesday against displaced citizens' tents in the safe humanitarian zone of al-Mawasi in the city of Khan Yunis in the southwestern Gaza Strip. Norway's Foreign Minister, Espen Barth Eide, said in a post on X that all parties have an obligation to protect civilians in warfare. 'The presence of armed groups does not nullify the obligation to comply with international humanitarian law.' 'The war must end,' he said. The Israeli army's shelling of displaced people's tents in the Mawasi area this morning killed at least 40 civilians and wounded 60 others, with scores of people still missing under the rubble.
