Johannesburg: The foreign ministers of Norway and Spain have clearly expressed their opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to displace the population of Gaza. The statements were made during the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide expressed concerns over indications pointing to the possible displacement of Palestinians to other territories. He highlighted that such actions would breach international law. Eide emphasized the need to improve living conditions for Palestinians, advocate for their independent state, and support the reconstruction of Gaza, which has suffered extensive destruction due to Israeli military actions.
Spanish Foreign Minister Jos© Manuel Albares also voiced Spain's stance by affirming that Gaza is Palestinian territory. He stressed Spain's full support for the Palestinian people and their right to remain in Gaza. Albares confirmed that Spain is actively providing humanitarian aid to Gaza and will participate in reconstruction efforts to help restore normalcy for the region's population.
