Nine Palestinians Killed in Israeli Shelling East of Gaza

Gaza city: Nine Palestinians were killed and others wounded early Wednesday morning when Israeli artillery shelled tents and homes east of Gaza City and south of Khan Younis.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that five Palestinians, including a child, were killed and others wounded when Israeli artillery targeted tents and homes in the Zeitoun and Tuffah neighborhoods east of Gaza City. The shelling also affected other areas, leading to additional casualties.

The sources further indicated that four other Palestinians were killed and others were wounded when Israeli artillery shelled tents of displaced people in the Qizan Rashwan area south of Khan Younis. This incident has raised the death toll since the ceasefire agreement last October to 529 Palestinians, with more than 1,460 others wounded.
