Ramallah: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, at the start of the weekly government session on Tuesday, affirmed that the government is consulting with the Central Elections Committee to ensure that local council elections are conducted in compliance with the presidential decree stipulating that the elections take place within six months from the date of the law's issuance.

The prime minister also addressed the ongoing issues with Israeli non-compliance with signed agreements, particularly concerning economic provisions and the withholding of clearance funds. He expressed concerns about the impact of these actions on the Palestinian economy, including market disruptions caused by low-quality goods.
Mustafa mentioned that, following Cabinet Resolution No. 14, the cabinet would study the adoption of specific measures recommended by the Ministry of National Economy to protect the Palestinian economy. These measures aim to counteract Israel's disregard for internationally supervised agreements.
