Post: Muslims Mark 1st Day of Eid Al-Adha at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jerusalem: Muslim worshippers marked the first day of Eid Al-Adha at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied city of Jerusalem, amidst Israeli restrictions. The courtyards surrounding Al-Aqsa Mosque were packed with 140,000 Muslim worshipers performing Eid prayers despite the access restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities at the gates of the Old City of Jerusalem, as well as at the gates of the compound.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency, the large turnout of worshipers highlighted the significance of the religious occasion, even as they faced limitations on access. The restrictions by Israeli authorities did not deter the faithful from gathering at one of Islam's holiest sites to observe the important religious festival.

The Eid Al-Adha prayers at the mosque are a significant religious event, drawing Muslims from various locations. Despite the challenges posed by access control, the community's commitment to uphold their religious traditions was evident. The gathering at Al-Aqsa reflects the resilience and determination of the worshippers in maintaining their religious practices.
