Rafah: The international humanitarian organization M©decins Sans Fronti¨res (Doctors Without Borders) has strongly condemned the deadly Israeli attack on Palestinian civilians in Rafah and warned that the U.S.-Israeli humanitarian aid plan for Gaza is 'failing catastrophically.'
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, MSF issued a statement following the massacre committed by Israeli forces Sunday morning, which resulted in the deaths of at least 30 Palestinians and injuries to 150 others as they attempted to receive aid at a distribution point in Al-Mawasi, west of Rafah. MSF highlighted that the assault exemplifies how aid is being weaponized.
MSF denounced Israel's handling of humanitarian operations in Gaza, describing it as a policy of inhuman treatment over the past 19 months. The organization criticized Israel's manipulative aid strategy, stating that it channels assistance only to specific areas where civilians are concentrated, often under coercion.
The organization emphasized that the humanitarian system in Gaza is suffocating due to Israel's tight restrictions, allowing only a trickle of aid trucks to enter. MSF concluded by warning that the use of aid as a weapon of war may constitute crimes against humanity.
