A man who shot and wounded his ex-fiancee in the city of Irbid on Tuesday is in police custody, the Public Security Directorate's media spokesman said.
The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was listed in a stable condition, he said.
The spokesman added that the shooter, who was identified as the woman's ex-fiance, was arrested and the firearm was confiscated.
