Libyan gov’t suspends FM pending enquiry

Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Al-Dbeibeh decided Sunday to suspend Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush and refer her to “administrative investigation.” The prime minister instructed setting up a panel of enquiry led by Justice Minister Halima Ibrahim Abdel-Rahman to interrogate Al-Mangoush regarding her behaviors, a statement from the prime minister’s office said without elaborating.

Earlier today, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that Foreign Minister Eli Cohen met Al-Mangoush in Italy last week under a mediation by their Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani to discuss normalization of relations between both countries.
